Christopher P. Daves

Christopher Daves is an estate planning attorney based in Austin, Texas. He helps families achieve peace of mind by planning for significant life events like disability and death. He also helps families navigate the legal issues that arise after a loved one has passed.

Christopher’s practice involves both large and small estates, but is premised on the notion that the size of a client’s estate should not be relevant to the amount of compassion and dedication each deserves. Christopher works closely with his clients to craft solutions that best achieve their goals, both legal and personal, and serves each client with care, competence, and kindness.

As an estate planning attorney, Christopher counsels clients in a range of matters, including Wills, Trusts, incapacity planning, asset protection, special needs planning, business succession planning, probate and estate administration.

Prior to joining the Daves Law Firm, Christopher was an associate attorney at a boutique estate planning firm in San Antonio. Christopher is one of the few attorneys to have worked for a Texas probate court judge. In fact, his experience in estate planning and probate began when he served as a law clerk in the Dallas County Probate Courts.

Christopher grew up in Austin, Texas. He holds a B.A. in creative writing, Cum Laude, from Texas A&M University and a law degree from Texas A&M University School of Law. He is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA).

When not helping clients, Christopher is a voracious reader of fiction. He also enjoys fly fishing and spending time with family.
